Ellen Verzino, PharmD

As Senior Vice President for Excelsior Solutions, Ellen leads a team of pharmacy consultants and account executives delivering services for employers, health plans, and health systems. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Ellen is a skilled expert in developing pharmacy strategies to improve the health of her clients’ members and managing costs.

Prior to joining Excelsior Solutions, Ellen previously served as Vice President of Pharmacy for Baylor Scott & White Health and Centene Corporation, as well as Vice President of Health Technology Assessment for Aetna. In her various industry roles, Ellen gained diverse experience within commercial, Medicare, marketplace and Medicaid, including pharmacy benefit management, clinical outcomes, vendor relations, financial analysis, and contract negotiations.

Ellen earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis and went on to complete a pharmacy practice residency at the Charleston Area Medical Center Health System, followed by a geriatrics residency at the St. Louis Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center.
